Does this tool save my invoice data and client list?
We do not transmit or store your financial data on external servers. Instead, your active invoice, your Saved Clients dropdown, and your Recent Invoice History are saved locally inside your own web browser using Local Storage. This keeps your business data 100% private while letting you pick up right where you left off next month.
How does the "Saved Clients" feature work?
When you type a client's name, billing address, and email into the "Billed To" section, click the Save Client button right above it. Next time you need to bill that client, simply select their name from the Saved Clients dropdown to auto-fill their details in one click.
How do I create my next sequential invoice (e.g., INV-002)?
Click the green + Next Invoice (#) button in the top toolbar. It automatically saves a snapshot of your current invoice into your Recent History, increments your invoice number (for example, from INV-001 to INV-002), keeps your company logo and payment instructions in place, and clears the line items for your next job.
Can I add my own company logo and customize the colors?
Yes. Click the + Add Your Logo box at the top left of the invoice to upload a PNG, JPG, or SVG logo from your device. You can also click the color swatches in the top toolbar to change the document's accent color between Royal Blue, Executive Slate, Emerald Green, or Modern Purple. If you don't upload a logo, the upload box automatically hides itself on the final PDF.
Can I use this tool to make an Estimate, Quote, or Receipt?
Absolutely. You can click directly on the word INVOICE at the top right of the form and type any header you need—such as ESTIMATE, QUOTE, TAX INVOICE, or PAID RECEIPT. You can also use our dedicated Estimate & Quote Maker.
What currencies are supported?
We support USD ($), GBP (£), EUR (€), AUD (A$), CAD (C$), JPY (¥), and INR (₹). Our tool automatically detects your local currency based on your timezone on your first visit, and you can switch currencies at any time using the dropdown menu.
How are Discounts and Taxes (Sales Tax, VAT, GST) calculated?
When you enter a Discount percentage, it is deducted from the Subtotal first. Your Tax / VAT / GST percentage is then calculated on the discounted subtotal, ensuring accurate accounting compliance for US Sales Tax, UK/EU VAT, and Canadian/Australian GST.
Where do I put my bank account details or payment link?
Use the Payment Instructions / Bank Details / Notes box at the bottom left of the generator. Anything you type there—such as your Bank Name, Account Number, Routing Number, Sort Code, IBAN, PayPal/Stripe link, or late payment terms—is saved automatically for future invoices and printed clearly on the PDF.
What happens if I clear my browser cache?
Because your saved clients and recent invoice snapshots live inside your browser's Local Storage for privacy, clearing your browser's site data or using Incognito/Private mode will reset your saved list. Always keep your downloaded PDF copies in a folder on your computer or cloud drive for permanent tax records.
